Community Sing!

After a heart-warming Summer session, Eleuthera will be hosting a twelve week Community Sing session this Fall!

There will be a Wednesday group rehearsing in Verdun from 7-8:30pm
one block from Verdun metro, from Sept 16th to Dec 9th.
(As it’s a residence the address will be sent to those who register).

There will be a Tuesday group rehearsing from 7-8:30pm Sept 15th to Dec 8th either in Verdun, NDG or the Plateau. If Tuesday works for you, let us know your location preferences here! There may also be a Monday or Thursday Sing at a different location once a month. Use the same survey to let me know which would interest you!

The Fall session will be divided into two 6 week sessions (Sept 15/16th to Oct 20/21st and Nov 3/4th to Dec 8/9th). We’ll take October 27/28th off so Eleuthera can exhibit Entre Mundos, her interdisciplinary (photos, music, interviews) project on the immigrant experience at Café 92 degrés. 
The vernissage will be Sunday Nov 1st at 6pm if you’d like to mark your calendars!

We’ll be singing uplifting songs of hope, consolation and resistance. At the end of the session we’ll have a Big Sing! (most likely Dec 11/12th) with both groups together and invite all of our friends to sing with us! There will also be the possibility to sing backup vocals as part of the choir on her upcoming album Crossing Over!

If you’re not able to join us for the full 12 week session, you can drop-in or get a 4 or 6 week deal, but if you’d like to participate in the Big Sing! you’ll have to practice the songs you missed at home to catch up. Singing backups on the album may require a basic audition and one more dedicated rehearsal.
